Welcome to my Public Relations e-Portfolio

Here you can explore what I have accomplished in my Media Kit e-Portfolio at TRU.

Get to Know Kalaye

Kalayevany Couttignane is a bright patchwork of interests and talents, fueled by her heartfelt love for communication, a craving for traveling, and a skillful eye for photography. Hailing from Mauritius, her life experiences and cultural background have been on a rollercoaster ride while finally reaching Canada, where she has relocated as part of her aspirations pursuit. Kalaye’s academic journey combines a business education from Curtin University. She is now studying further at Thompson Rivers University, in Kamloops, BC where she plans to major in Bachelor of Communications and Digital Journalism.

She is very frank and is not in the least afraid to change the established order. While her curiosity drives her to explore the world, this constantly leads her to new ideas and perceptions. Her purpose as a journalist is to delve into the stories that reflect our reality and tell those stories in a way that makes sense to the masses. Once her studies are complete in the summer, she wants to build her career path on a mixed concept, where she will use her business-minded thinking and communication talents to turn herself into a travel writer freelancer. At the same time, she will remain faithful to her passion for photography.

Kalaye is just an uncompromising explorer, pursuing personal and professional development that will prompt her to develop beyond her current level. Experiential learning is her firm conviction that, in this case, the most valuable lessons are conditioned by the weave of life experiences.

About my e-Portfolio

I intend to present this portfolio to a broad audience, my classmates, as well as my professor. This media kit focuses on Voices Unheard Archive (VUA) and innovative projects aimed at integrating marginalized narratives.

Voices Unheard Archive is a non-profit archive that has a unique mission which is to showcase the voices that were not heard lying in the background of British Columbia’s history.

Thank you for visiting my Portfolio. Let’s begin with the Press Release here
